The workshops involved teaching 200 children aged 8-15 years old to make simple pieces of jewellery inspired by Sima's collection made for the Hajj exhibition. The evening was a great success with the children taking home pieces they made themselves.
Sima has been commisioned by the British Museum to design an exclusive new range of jewellery in support of the Hajj: Journey to the heart of Islam exhibition (26 Jan-15 Apr 2012).

Sima was invited to meet with the British Museum Friends and talk about her jewellery which is currently on display and sale at the Grenville Room.
Sima joined JeDeCo, the Jewellery Designers' Collective, a group of takented award winning jewellers and had a great exhibition at Treasure 2011.
Sima's jewellery was in the Evening Standard magazine as part of the Treasure 2011 exhibition promotion.
The event was well attended and Hanah Caan, the daughter of James Caan and one of the Foundation's (JCF) trustees, gave an introductory speech. The evening raised money and awareness for the JCF Build a Village project, which was set up to help the victims of the 2010 flood in Pakistan.
The exhibition was opened by President Hamid Karzai at the British Museum where Sima and her work were introduced to the President. See her near the end of the exhibition video.
